Mercurial...
My friend Virgil and I spent a day in September wandering around my neighborhood and taking pictures.  To be honest, I did all the wandering, he took all the pictures.

This one was taken in the early afternoon at one of my favorite places, a little park with a wonderful view of the Susquehanna River.

I can typically visualize the perfect cropping as soon as I see a photograph, but this one wasn't so easy.  I loved the appearance of it, the lighting, the mood, the scene... but I wasn't sure where to crop for maximum impact.
I decided to make no final decision, crop it a number of different ways and show all of them.  I actually saw so many more ways to highlight parts of the photo, but thirty different versions  exploring the tangle of hair by my cheek or the patterns of light on my belly might bore some of you...

This way you can scroll down and choose your own favorite...

You don't even have to wonder what you may be missing because
I've included
the original
photograph so you can see what I started with.

Virgil did a nice job with this one, so it stands very well without any alterations.

Thanks Virgil!
